Spain Yacht Charter Guide

The ever-popular Spain is undisputedly one of the world’s finest cruising destinations – the famous Spanish spirit, an excellent Mediterranean cuisine, and sunny days followed by long balmy nights are all part of its magic. With thousands of kilometers of coastline along both mainland and island destinations, Spain boasts excellent marinas and an ideal infrastructure for exploring by yacht.

The peak of the charter season is during the summer months, however, the fall is a wonderful time to visit the area by sea. Temperatures are a little cooler, yet still very comfortable and the sea is still warm. Crowds are not as large in popular tourist spots and it is easier to secure berths.

The most popular yacht charter destination is the Balearic Islands. The unique charm of this island group is a best experienced by sea, with unrivalled access to the area’s beaches, nightlife and cultural hotspots. Island hopping is easy, with Mallorca, its little sister Menorca, Ibiza and the charming Formentera just a short cruise from each other.  

Barcelona probably the most visited city in Spain is famous for its architecture and has been an inspiration to several artists over the years, including Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso.
