230’/70.10m M/Y Saint Nicolas sold by IYC

21st November 2018
IYC’s impressive sales record for 2018 continues with the sale of 230’ (70.10m) Saint Nicolas by Michael Rafferty of the IYC Palm Beach officeBuilt by German yard Lürssen in 2007, with a refit in 2016 and 2017, Saint Nicolas is a full-displacement yacht of the highest pedigree. A fully custom build, she was designed by Espen Oeino and features an elegant interior by Francesco Zuretti. With six spacious decks, impressive volumes and high head space, she represents true luxury.
With just one previous owner, and under the command of the same captain since 2008, Saint Nicolas has been maintained to the highest standards and has never chartered. Her 10-year survey in 2017 saw a work list of numerous upgrades completed, including a full new hull and superstructure paint job and mechanical, AV and IT upgrades.

Instantly impressive, from the moment you step on board, Saint Nicolas boasts numerous spaces across her many decks. An elevator links the tank deck and pool deck, ensuring easy guest access throughout the yacht. A stunning, elegant decor that makes use of cherry, mahogany and walnut paired with cream-furnishings, sets the tone for relaxed luxury living.

Accommodation spaces are large and welcoming, with the yacht able to welcome 12 guests in in seven staterooms, including the master, VIP and five further doubles. The master is a particularly impressive space, located on the main deck, with its own observatory and private deck. The seventh stateroom is particularly suited to children/staff, offering added versatility to the accommodation layout.

The many onboard guest areas include a large main salon, with plentiful seating, a bar and a self-playing Steinway. A formal dining space for up to 14 guests is in its own distinct area, separated from the main saloon by a service/storage bulkhead. The main salon leads to the especially large aft deck which features couches, a full U-shaped sofa and dual staircase access connects the aft deck with the swimming platform on both sides of the yacht.

The sun deck is another large exterior space, with sofas, sun loungers and coffee tables. A shaded deck space, with glass panel enclosures, is home to yet more sun loungers and a gym set up for work outs with a view. The upper deck, which connects with the observation salon and lounge, features a pool with a counter current jet and bar and is a highly appealing spot for relaxation.

17 crew are on board, with a generous crew space including a private gym. Powered by twin CAT 2,038hp engines Saint Nicolas cruises at 13 knots, reaching maximum speeds of 15.5knots, and comfort is ensured thanks to Quantum speed stabilisers.

Saint Nicolas is a stunning yacht and IYC is delighted to have played a role in her sale and wishes her new owner many happy years on the water.
Saint Nicolas was asking €46,700,000
