A rare chance to own an explorer vessel, Spirit of Romo was built in 1973 and refitted by a quality Dutch shipyard as a robust explorer yacht in 2018. A pedigree Danish naval ship, she spent the first part of her life cruising the Danish coastline and Arctic sea. A steel-hulled, rugged vessel, she has ice-breaking capabilities, an excellent history and is MCA compliant. Whereas many explorer yachts are available to purchase at the end of their lives, Spirit of Romo is in excellent condition, ready to explore oceans across the world for years to come.
Spirit of Romo has four cabins for eight guests. Functional and neutrally designed, the layout includes an owner’s stateroom, two doubles and a twin room with bunk beds. She can host a crew of four. The communal spaces include a light, pleasantly decorated formal dining space and kitchen-bar area for serving drinks and enjoying a morning coffee. A comfortable saloon area has ample seating for guests and provides access to the aft deck.

Moving outside, those on board will undoubtedly spend time on her spacious outdoor areas to enjoy the beautiful scenery, which includes a formal dining table on the aft deck. Her boat deck has further deck space to use, complete with deck chairs and seating. There is also a swimming ladder on the port side to dip into the surrounding water.

She was completely rebuilt at a Dutch shipyard in 2018, and now features all new systems, a new main engine and a state-of-the-art Bridge. With very little owner use since then, she reports very low engine and generator hours. With her fresh repaint, no expense has been spared to make sure she is ready to cruise throughout the world. Her rebuild also upgraded all the technology on board, making her more eco-friendly, and adding premium global communications and gyro stabilizations for ultimate comfort for guests. She is able to store a small car on deck, for land-based adventures.

An unique opportunity to own an explorer yacht in the under 30m category, she can be used in a captain-owner combination. Spirit of Romo is ready to sail, be it in the icy waters of the Arctic or the sunny climes of the Mediterranean.
