Moonen Yachts Reaches Construction Milestone on Tenth 122 Martinique

9th October 2026

Moonen Yachts has reached a significant milestone in the construction of YN208, the tenth hull in its acclaimed 122 Martinique series, with the successful joining of her hull and superstructure at the shipyard in the Netherlands. Measuring 122’8” (37.4m) and 345 GT, the yacht combines the proven capabilities of the Martinique platform with thoughtful design refinements shaped by owner feedback.

Built with a high-tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure, YN208 reflects Moonen’s approach to long-range cruising, combining robust engineering with opportunities for personalization. As the tenth yacht in the series, she also benefits from the experience and insights gathered from previous Martinique owners, informing refinements to both her layout and onboard experience.

One notable enhancement is the arrangement of the Owner’s suite, which now features separate his-and-hers bathrooms in place of the previously proposed single en-suite. The change was incorporated early in the design process, allowing the revised layout to be seamlessly integrated into the yacht.

“We’re always speaking with our owners and asking them what they would do differently or what they might improve,” says Nicky van Zon, Managing Director of Moonen Yachts. “One of the things that came out of those conversations was the idea of a proper his-and-hers bathroom, so we decided to incorporate that into the next speculation build yacht YN208.”

The update illustrates how Moonen continues to evolve the Martinique series through practical, owner-led refinements, while preserving the platform’s established strengths. Rather than treating individual requests as isolated changes, the shipyard uses feedback to inform future builds, creating opportunities to enhance the onboard experience without compromising the qualities that define the series.

With her hull and superstructure now joined, YN208 moves into the outfitting stage of construction. She is scheduled for delivery in June 2027, offering a future owner the opportunity to acquire a new-build Moonen with a proven pedigree and carefully considered design enhancements.
