Highlander is a Feadship like no other and offers a rare and exciting sales opportunity presented by IYC. Built by the top pedigree Dutch shipyard Feadship in 1986 to a Jon Bannenberg design for former owner Malcolm Forbes, Highlander is arguably one of the most recognizable yachts on the water.
Enjoying an amazing interior refit in 2014, the 162’3” (49.45m) yacht is refined, suave and with trans-Atlantic capability. She boasts a helipad for exploration and a retractable hydraulic swim platform, ideal for diving straight into the big blue as well as offering the ultimate convenience when arriving by tender. An impressive seven staterooms each with ensuite, including an on-deck master, accommodate 13 guests in seamless comfort, serviced by a crew of 11.
The 2014 interior refit at Derecktor Shipyard in Florida saw the steel hull lengthened, major mechanicals and equipment upgraded, and a new exterior paint job completed. These improvements paved the way for an unusually large retractable swim platform, enabling guests to dive straight into the sea or lounge by the water’s edge. The hydraulic platform can also be raised or lowered, providing the ultimate convenience when guests arrive by tender. She boasts a helipad for exploration away from the mothership, which also doubles up as additional space for sun loungers or the ideal yoga deck. A stunning red tender and a raft of water toys complete the adventure package.
The amidships, full-beam main salon is bordered on the bow by the master cabin, a space that was once occupied by an observation salon but today provides a cream-colored private owner’s haven. Original pop artworks adorn the interior walls. A floating marble staircase features in the central lobby and dark wood detailing sits in stark contrast with the light and airy inviting ambience.
A media room and dedicated massage room are supported by a newly updated entertainment system and world satellite. A disco lounge with bar provides the social hub of the yacht, though the best seat onboard is reserved for the ondeck Jacuzzi. An abundance of exterior space forward and aft creates multiple areas for lounging, al fresco dining and enjoying the best of the yachting lifestyle.
Highlander is proven on the charter market, supported by an existing and successful charter program and an ideal layout for year-round vacations. She is serviced by a professional crew of 11, accommodated in a further five cabins. She enjoys highly economical cruising, while Quantum Zero Speed Stabilizers guarantee onboard comfort, even in choppy waters.
Striking on the water with her pointed bow, sleek dark exterior and iconic profile, Highlander is in a league of her own.
