A New England yacht charter vacation offers diversity combined with the utmost luxury. The proximity of New England’s towns to one another means that yacht charterers can truly immerse themselves in the unique culture and time-honored traditions of each destination, making full use of this most privileged way of traveling. Fishing is a popular pastime for many charter guests and understandably so, with a superyacht able to take guests to stunning locations filled with days of exciting deep-water fishing or therapeutic fly-fishing. The fishing in New England is unrivalled for beginners and the experienced angler looking for big game fishing alike; with a charter yacht you can tailor the trip to suit your desires. For centuries lighthouses have lined the 6,000 miles of coastline of New England, and with more than 150 to spot today you will be spoiled for choice when seeking them out to view them from your yacht.

1.  Newport- A popular starting point for New England yacht charter cruises, this Rhode Island town offers hearty cliff walks and world-famous jazz festivals, historic mansions and the iconic Breakers: New England’s most esteemed summer residence and a paragon of its rich social history.

2. Cape Cod - Cape Cod boasts some of the best beaches in New England. Linger over drinks on board your private charter yacht whilst moored in a Cape Cod marina, before alighting ashore for dinner under the stars. With access by a mile-long trek down a dirt road, Bound Brook is the most remote beach on Cape Cod. You can reach the beach with ease and step off your yacht into the romantic isolation of this special spot.

3. Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket- Martha’s Vineyard encapsulates quaint New England charm with its seaside village character, pretty beaches and antiquated buildings. Other than by yacht, the only way to get to this island is a 75-minute bus and 45-minute ferry ride, meaning you can be assured that your fellow visitors will be few. The quiet, peaceful Inkwell beach is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the serenity. The National Historic District of Nantucket – once a prosperous whaling port – is home to great food and fine wine, with cobbled streets lined with old-fashioned lamps and plenty of museums and exhibits. Dionis is a detour from the main roads, so you won’t see many tourists on this side. Venture inland from the beach for a taste of local life and sample some of the fresh fish served up in nearby restaurants.

IYC is happy to support the islands in the Bahamas and encourage tourism there to boost their economy after last year’s hurricane damage. Through our Bahamas Initiative, we were able to raise money to help their islands recover, with contributions from IYC and our yachts 164' / 50m Hospitality and 110' / 33.53m Le Reve. All funds were donated to YachtAid Global.

4. Bahamas - With over 700 colorful islands and innumerable tiny cays – home to stunning beaches and picturesque towns, deep caves and rich vegetation – the sunbaked Bahamas are an ideal destination for travelers of all ages. With sheltered waters and schools of tropical fish dancing beneath the surface, a cruise to the Bahamas is a paradise for divers and snorkelers. Its welcoming people echo the temperament of the hospitable Gulf Stream winds, making this the perfect destination for a yacht charter. The weather is ideal for a summer vacation, and the beaches are typically less crowded than the winter months. With a veritable treasure trove of undiscovered beaches, unique geological features and wildlife encounters to enjoy far from the crowds, the Bahamas islands are great to visit all year round. Here is IYC’s list of the best secret spots in this beautiful island group.

5. Alaska - Alaska offers a pristine setting and a unique, unforgettable cruising experience. Get up close with wildlife, cruise past glaciers, and marvel at majestic scenery. Alaska is a bucket list destination that will not disappoint, and a charter yacht is the ideal base for enjoying all it has to offer.Your Alaskan cruise can include day trips to visit the national parks, explore the small towns and visit the many museums to learn about the history of this incredible state. Your knowledgeable crew and captain will be able to recommend itineraries and tailor the cruise to your desires, taking you to the most remote and spectacular of places.

If you’re looking to plan a trip "across the pond" for fall, destinations which typically have more demand in July and August, such as the Mediterranean (Greece, Spain and the South of France) are great for charters up until October, with good weather, warm water and less crowds.

IYC has partnered with Magellan Jets to offer the possibility of private air travel, so clients can have the option of avoiding commercial airports and minimizing exposure to the virus throughout their entire vacation.
