MYBA, The Worldwide Yachting Association was founded in 1984 and is an international professional yachting organisation. The members and board of MYBA are involved in various elements of the superyacht industry, including brokerage, charter, management and construction of large yachts.

The MYBA Charter Committee brings together professionals and experts to monitor the worldwide charter market. This includes evolving charter regulations in popular destinations and advising any relevant changes or issues to other departments within MYBA. The committee is responsible for drafting all the charter documents used by the MYBA Members, and if necessary, any changes to the MYBA Charter Agreement. The committee also participates very actively in the choice and organisation of the MYBA Charter Show and its seminars.

Speaking on her new role, Katie expressed her passion for working with her fellow superyacht professionals to continue to improve the market. “I welcome the opportunity to help move our industry forward in an efficient and effective way for the future.”

Katie has worked with IYC for over nine years over the course of her career, and is based in the Palm Beach, USA office. She is also an active member of the American Yacht Charter Association (AYCA), the Charter Yacht Brokers Association (CYBA), and the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA).
